Statewide Super has appointed Tony D’Alessandro as chief executive. He will take over from Richard Nunn who has taken up the role of chief executive at MetLife. D’Alessandro has been in the role of general manager, member engagement for Statewide Super for the last three years and has held senior executive positions at Commonwealth Bank, St George Bank and Bank SA.
Class has appointed Andrew Russell as chief executive. Russell is joining from REA Group where he was executive general manager financial services. He will be responsible for improving market leadership in the SMSF administration sector.
Qantas Super has announced changes to its board. John Atkin and Lorraine Berends have joined the board as company-appointed directors designate. They will replace Anne Ward who has served on the board for 15 years. Atkin was the chief executive of The Trust Company Ltd and Blake Dawson, and is the chair of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Berends has served on the board of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia and is currently a director on BT Financial Group’s superannuation board.
Parametric has appointed Simon Mah Chut to the newly created position of manager, products and partnerships. He has 17 years’ experience in the finance industry and has experience in private wealth investment, accounting, tax and business services.
InvestSense has appointed Paul Carrington to the new role of director, head of advisor solutions. He has 30 years’ experience in financial advice and joins from Russell Investments, where he was the head of distribution. He will help drive further growth in managed accounts.
OpenInvest has appointed two new staff to their management team. Ravi Verma has joined as business development manager, having had 25 years’ experience in consultative and distribution roles in the finance industry. Phoebe Kohler has been appointed as marketing manager. She joins from Constant Investor and has held senior positions at the Eureka Report and the Business Spectator.
